Transportation
Christchurch has a myriad of car rental options. All of the big-name agencies are available: Avis, Budget, Hertz, Europcar, Thrifty, along with dozens of other no-name options such as: Rent-a-Dent, A2B, U-save, and EZY Rentals. You can rent a car new or used. We suggest surfing the web to search prices and/or renting when you arrive making sure to walk around asking for quotes because they are negotiable to a point.
We don't expect everybody to necessarily rent their own separate transportation unless you want to, so by all means pool your resources and split the cost of renting something larger. This particularly applies to those of you who plan to join us on the Tiki Tour.
Keep in mind that all prices (on everything in NZ) will include GST (sales tax) unless they specifically say they don't.
